Story Description In an ancient Achik village, a woman and her seriously ill husband are left alone with their infant while the villagers stay in their distant jhum fields. One day, a mysterious stranger appears and claims to be the sick man’s nephew. But the woman does not know that he is actually **Mehmang Gitting**, a terrifying cannibal demon known as a **Tsine Nat**. The demon is afraid of iron, steel, and copper, so he tricks the woman into removing every metal object from her house. That night, after her husband dies, the demon reveals his true form and begins devouring the dead man. Terrified, the woman bravely escapes with her baby and runs toward the jhum fields to seek help. When the villagers return to the house, they discover that the demon has eaten the entire corpse, including the bones, bed, and clothes.
