Description

Scientists once believed the first Americans arrived around 13,000 years ago. New archaeological discoveries and ancient DNA have pushed that story much further back — and revealed a far more complicated journey into the Americas. For most of the 20th century, the Clovis First model dominated American archaeology. According to the traditional theory, the first people entered North America through Beringia and then traveled south through an ice-free corridor after the glaciers began retreating. But evidence from Monte Verde, ancient DNA, Beringian populations, coastal archaeology, and the White Sands footprints has transformed the debate. #FirstAmericans #NativeAmericanDNA #AncientDNA #ClovisFirst #WhiteSands #Beringia #MonteVerde #NativeAmericanHistory #Archaeology #AncientHistory #HumanMigration #IndigenousHistory #Genetics #AmericanArchaeology #HumanHistory
