Description

McDonald’s used to be one of the easiest ways to grab a cheap and convenient meal. But for millions of Americans, that feeling is changing. In this reaction and commentary video, we look at social-media clips showing just how frustrated customers have become with rising McDonald’s and fast-food prices. A breakfast sandwich that once cost around $1 is now being shown at $8. A single hash brown can cost $3. A simple order can cost dramatically more depending on the location, while delivery can push the total even higher. Customers are asking a simple question: when did fast food stop feeling affordable? We also look at the bigger reasons behind rising menu prices, including ingredients, restaurant operating costs, rent, transportation, labor, and other expenses that can affect what customers ultimately pay. The video features different Americans reacting to their experiences with McDonald’s and other fast-food restaurants, including changing meal deals, unexpected prices, smaller value, and the growing feeling that eating out isn't worth the money anymore. The clips featured in this video come from social-media sources and have been carefully selected, trimmed, reorganized, and edited around the central topic. We add our own narration, commentary, context, transitions, and storytelling to connect the different experiences and create a new viewing experience for the audience. The experiences and opinions shown belong to the individuals featured and do not represent every American or every McDonald’s customer. What was the highest price you've ever paid for a McDonald’s meal? And at what price would you finally stop buying it? This video is presented for reaction, commentary, discussion, analysis, and entertainment purposes. Disclaimer: This video is not intended to attack, defame, shame, or harm McDonald’s, the United States, the U.S. government, any institution, organization, association, company, business, employee, customer, or individual. The purpose is to provide commentary and discussion around the experiences and opinions presented in the featured clips. #McDonalds #McDonaldsPrices #McDonalds2026 #FastFood #FastFoodPrices #FastFoodInflation #FoodPrices #RestaurantPrices #FoodInflation #EatingOut #Americans #AmericansStruggling #CostOfLiving #CostOfLivingCrisis #AmericanEconomy #USEconomy #RisingPrices #ConsumerSpending #AmericanLife #FastFoodPrices #AmericanEconomy #USEconomy #MiddleClass #MiddleClassAmerica #MiddleClassCrisis #CostOfLiving #CostOfLivingCrisis #GroceryPrices #GroceryInflation #FoodPrices #GroceryBills #ExpensiveGroceries #RisingPrices #FoodCosts #AmericanFamilies #AmericansStruggling #PaycheckToPaycheck #WorkingAmericans #Inflation #HouseholdExpenses #MortgageCosts #AmericanDream
