Susan Hayward | Western Drama of Oil, Revenge & Ruthless Ambition | Tulsa

Susan Hayward fights for revenge, strikes oil and discovers the dangerous price of ambition in Tulsa, a sweeping 1949 Western drama set during Oklahoma's oil boom. Hayward stars as Cherokee Lansing, the daughter of a rancher killed in an oil-well accident. Determined to fight the powerful oil interests she blames for the tragedy, Cherokee enters the oil business herself—and strikes it rich. But revenge soon becomes ambition. As money and power transform Cherokee into a major force in the booming oil fields, her relationships with geologist Brad Brady (Robert Preston) and longtime friend Jim Redbird (Pedro Armendáriz) become increasingly strained. Oil, cattle, romance, greed and spectacular disaster collide as Cherokee learns that getting rich may be easier than controlling what wealth does to you. Directed by Stuart Heisler, Tulsa combines Western drama, oil-boom adventure and romance in vivid Technicolor. #Tulsa #SusanHayward #RobertPreston #PedroArmendariz #WesternMovie #WesternDrama #OilBoom #OilMovie #Oklahoma #ClassicWestern #ClassicDrama #Technicolor #1949Movie #GoldenAgeHollywood #ClassicHollywood #VintageCinema #OldHollywood #ClassicMovie 👉 Welcome to subscribe ! youtube.com/@LimitlessCinema_YM
