Description

Can you name a song for every word? Take on 28 words with five seconds to think, followed by three nostalgic song examples for each word. Any valid matching song title from 1960–1999 counts—even when your answer is different from our examples! 🎵 A word appears. A song pops into your head. But can you name it before the timer ends? This music challenge brings together classic rock, classic pop and nostalgic music from four unforgettable decades. Play aloud from your sofa, challenge your family, or compare answers with a friend. You might both earn the point with completely different songs! HOW TO PLAY • Read the word on screen. • You have five seconds to name a song whose title contains that word. • Your chosen recording must have been first released between 1960 and 1999. • Singular and plural forms count: DREAM and DREAMS, or EYE and EYES. • Match whole words. NIGHT does not count inside TONIGHT, and LOVE is different from LOVELY. • Score one point for each valid answer given before the reveal. • We then play three example songs. They are examples, not the only correct answers. • Maximum score: 28 points. Naming several songs for one word still earns one point. Expect familiar voices and memorable hooks, including Queen’s “Somebody to Love,” Michael Jackson’s “Beat It,” a-ha’s “Take On Me,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” Prince & the Revolution’s “Purple Rain,” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The selection also includes Whitney Houston, The Beatles, ABBA, Scorpions and many more. From 60s music and 70s music to 80s music and 90s music, this song association game is about the songs you remember—and the music memories each word brings back. You don’t have to guess one predetermined answer to enjoy this music quiz. 💬 COMMENT BELOW What was your score out of 28? Which valid song did you choose that we didn’t show? Which word triggered your strongest music memory?
