The Uncanny World of Fake Video Game Areas

There's something fascinating about video game areas that never actually existed. Especially those with that uncanny feeling that they belong and have physical evidence of their existence. As a kid, I believed in stuff like Minecraft's Aether and Club Penguin's Rockhopper Island. I was also around for the craze of the NieR: Automata church situation and the Undertale 10th Anniversary stream. Even some popular horror series like Ben Drowned, Interloper, and Drb0sch put their own creepy spin on such places.
