Description
In February 1988, 22-year-old Helen McCourt disappeared on her way home from work in Billinge, Merseyside. Her body was never found, but a trail of blood, clothing, and forensic evidence led investigators to the man convicted of her murder.
Ian Simms maintained his innocence for more than three decades—and took the location of Helen’s body to his grave.
Helen’s disappearance would ultimately inspire Helen’s Law, a landmark change to the UK parole system, after her mother, Marie McCourt, spent decades fighting for answers.
Nearly 40 years later, one question remains:
Where is Helen McCourt?
This is the story of one of Britain’s most haunting solved murders—and a mother who never stopped searching for her daughter.
