📖 Want to go deeper? Explore My digital workbooks on renewing your mind, breaking strongholds, and walking in faith are available at [https://wisdomislands.com/]
What do you say to yourself when you're afraid, discouraged, rejected or overwhelmed?
You may not realize it, but your inner voice is speaking all day—and repeated thoughts can become increasingly familiar and easier for your mind to return to.
But Scripture shows us another way.
In Psalm 42:5, the psalmist doesn't simply listen to his discouraged soul. He speaks back to it:
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul?... hope thou in God.”
In this video, we'll explore biblical self-talk, what neuroscience can teach us about repetition and learned thought patterns, and a simple three-step practice for renewing your mind with God's Word:
NOTICE → ANSWER → REPEAT
You'll learn how to recognize negative self-talk, answer your thoughts with Scripture, and intentionally make God's truth one of the loudest voices in your mind.
This isn't about pretending everything is fine or using empty positive affirmations. It's about learning to interpret your thoughts and circumstances through the truth of God's Word.
📖 Scriptures include Psalm 42:5, Romans 10:17, Romans 8:1, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 2 Corinthians 10:5 and 2 Timothy 1:7.
🎧 Want to practise biblical self-talk regularly?
Join the channel to access my Faith Self-Talk audio sessions, designed to help you repeatedly hear and speak Scripture-based truth over fear, identity, faith, renewing the mind and more.
