What Most Likely Happened to the Stolen Louvre Crown Jewels

On a Sunday morning in October 2025, four men used a stolen furniture lift to break into the Louvre. They were inside for less than four minutes and left with eight pieces of the French crown jewels, valued at 88 million euros. Within six weeks, four suspects had been charged. Almost a year later, not one of the jewels has been found. The men in custody say someone hired them. Investigators aren’t sure that person exists. In this video, we go through the heist minute by minute, from the stolen lift to the last confirmed sighting of the jewels in an underground car park outside Paris. We look at the security failures that made it possible and test every major theory: the billionaire collector, the inside job, the Pink Panthers and the ransom plot.
