In January 2023, Lindsay Clancy murdered her three children. Years later, a GoFundMe for her parents raised over $1 million. By comparison, Emma Schols, who ran back into a burning house to save all six of her children and suffered burns across 93% of her body, received around $42,000 in support. This video is not about whether Clancy’s actions were evil. It’s about how we reached a point where large numbers of people are willing to raise money, offer sympathy, and defend the principle that makes such outcomes possible. We examine the shift in the abortion debate from “it’s not a human” to bodily autonomy, and how that same logic extends beyond birth.
