Description

Jared Bridegan was shot and killed in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, on February 16, 2022, after a tire was deliberately placed in the road to stop his vehicle. Mario Fernandez - husband of Jared's ex-wife, Shanna Gardner - is currently on trial, accused of orchestrating the killing. This week, prosecutors played a 50-minute police interview for the jury - recorded two weeks after the murder, before Fernandez was ever considered a suspect. In this video, we break down five key stretches of that interview, word for word, line by line, using the same forensic statement analysis method we've used across this channel. WHAT WE COVER: • Full context on the case and why this interview was played at trial • Five specific excerpts from a 50-minute interview, analyzed in full • A pattern of unprompted statements that consistently return to the same concern • Our honest, clearly-labeled opinion on what these patterns add up to • What these patterns can teach us about unprompted speech and rehearsed narratives in our own lives IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: This video is forensic language pattern analysis. It is not a legal opinion and not a determination of guilt. Mario Fernandez has pleaded not guilty and is presumed innocent. His trial is currently underway. We are analyzing language patterns in a recorded police interview that was entered into evidence and played in open court - not deciding the outcome of this case, which is a decision for a jury, not for this channel. This content is intended for educational purposes - to help viewers understand statement analysis and communication patterns they can apply broadly, including in their own lives.
