Description

In this video we delve into the true story behind the Annabelle doll – separating fact from fiction. Annabelle really was a Raggedy Ann doll (not the evil porcelain from the movies) that a Connecticut nurse received as a gift in 1970. Soon after, strange events began: the doll appeared in different places by itself and left handwritten notes (like “Help Lou”). We trace the saga as Donna and her roommate Angie called in a psychic and ultimately contacted famed ghost-hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Warrens concluded an “inhuman presence” was at work and took the doll to their Occult Museum in Monroe, CT. The video timeline covers all major events: 1970: Doll arrives and haunting begins. 1970: A friend is scratched, Lou is hurt, and notes say a child named “Annabelle” is behind it. 1970: The Warrens confiscate the doll. 1980s: Annabelle’s story appears in The Demonologist book. 2013–2019: Annabelle inspires The Conjuring films (fiction) while the real doll remains locked in a case. 2025: The doll went on a public tour (“Devils on the Run”), during which a paranormal investigator (Dan Rivera) sadly died. By August 2025, comedian Matt Rife purchased the museum containing Annabelle. We also address popular claims and legends circulating online. Videos often mention psychic scratches, curse victims, and deaths linked to Annabelle, but these are Warrens’ anecdotes with no outside confirmation. For instance, the oft-repeated story of a motorcycle crash after someone taunted the doll comes from a Warren lecture. Skeptics point out that such tales lack documentation.
