This model uses an Arduino UNO, two LDR sensors, a servo motor, and a solar panel. LDR stands for Light Dependent Resistor. The resistance of an LDR changes according to the amount of light falling on it. Two LDR sensors are placed on opposite sides of the solar panel to detect light intensity. The Arduino reads the light levels detected by both LDR sensors. It compares the readings to identify which side receives more sunlight. When both LDRs receive similar light, the solar panel stays in its current position. When one LDR receives more light, the Arduino detects the difference. The Arduino sends a control signal to the servo motor. The servo motor rotates the solar panel toward the brighter side. This process repeats as the direction of sunlight changes. By facing the Sun more directly, the panel can capture more solar energy than a fixed panel under suitable conditions. This project demonstrates renewable energy, sensors, automation, and basic robotics. The solar tracking system is a useful science exhibition project that explains how technology can improve solar energy collection.
