Hightway Through The Light | 80s Revival Synthwave | Retrowave

Neon lights blur past the windshield while the night stretches on forever. "Highway Through The Light" is a nostalgic synthwave journey built on warm Yamaha DX7 FM synth leads, sweeping filtered pads, and plate-reverb-soaked delays - a bittersweet drive back through memories of young love and endless nights. As the lyrics recall: "We were young and free before sunrise" and "Young enough to start again." ────────────────────────────────── 🎼 Genre: Synthwave / Retrowave / 80s Revival Electronic 💡 Themes: nostalgia, lost love, youth, night driving, longing, memory ✨ Mood: nostalgic, wistful, dreamy, warm, bittersweet 🎙️ Artist / Channel: Loosely Based On EDM ( @LooselyBasedOnEDM ) ────────────────────────────────── 🪶 Lyrics: It’s a highway through the light Through the memories of night We were young and free before sunrise And we thought we’d always be The radio was playing low We had nowhere else to go You were sitting right beside me And the night was ours to keep I wish it would return sometimes Those days when everything felt right When we could drive until the morning And never worry about the time I wish I could go back somehow To the way we were back then Just you and me out on the highway Young enough to start again Years have passed and things have changed I don't even know your life these days But sometimes when I'm driving home I think about those nights Do you ever think about it too? Those stupid things we'd always do We didn't know how good it was We just thought it would go on I wish it would return sometimes Those days when everything felt right When we could drive until the morning And never worry about the time I wish I could go back somehow To the way we were back then Just you and me out on the highway Young enough to start again It’s a highway through the light Through the memories of night We were young and free before sunrise I wish it would return sometimes ────────────────────────────────── 💿 About this track: Built around lush Yamaha DX7 FM synthesis, this track leans into classic 80s revival textures - long filter sweeps, analog delay, and plate reverb wrapped around smooth, airy pads. It's a melodic ride through nostalgia, young love, and the ache of looking back on nights you didn't know were slipping away. ────────────────────────────────── 🎵 Stream & Follow: ▶ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LooselyBasedOnEDM 🟢 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4850oFyaMCIFnOO6D9iH7u 🍎 Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/loosely-based-on-edm/1865989364 📦 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/artists/B0GDSC3FNT/loosely-based-on-edm ────────────────────────────────── 🏷️ Keywords: #synthwave80s #synthwave #retrowave #80srevival #nightdrive #outrunmusic
