I bought this Dell OptiPlex 9020 for $70, complete with an Intel Core i7-4770, 32GB of DDR3 RAM, and a GTX 750 Ti. The CPU and RAM were already pretty decent for an old office PC, but the graphics card needed some help. So I swapped in an MSI low-profile RTX 3050 6GB to see what this thing could do while keeping the original 290W power supply. From Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing to Counter-Strike 2, Bannerlord, and Arma Reforger, we’re finding out how much gaming life is left in this old Dell. PC specs: • Dell OptiPlex 9020 • Intel Core i7-4770, 4 cores / 8 threads • 32GB DDR3-1600, 4×8GB • MSI GeForce RTX 3050 Low Profile 6GB • Original Dell 290W power supply The PC cost $70 before the GPU upgrade. The RTX 3050 was an additional cost. What GPU would you have put in this thing? Let me know below, especially if you’re still gaming on an old OptiPlex yourself!
