Seeing the food consisting of pulses, chickpea vegetable with heavy spices, rice and rotis, the mother-in-law joins in with Ganga Aarti. Ganga (52 irritably). Daughter-in-law Aarti, you prepare gram, chickpeas, gram flour, kidney beans... only these things every day. At least cook some green vegetables sometime. Now Sawan is about to come, the fun of green vegetables is something else in Sawan. Aarti (making faces): Mother, you know that I find it a very heavy task to select these green vegetables from the market, then sit down and pluck them, wash them, cut them and then cook them. Anyway, there are so many tasks at home, on top of this there is so much hassle. Now I have prepared chickpeas with so much love, eat this today. Ganga (52 sad): Okay, now that it has been prepared, let's eat it. But eating this heavy food every day is not good. Sometimes you should cook some light green vegetables too. Vikas (25 jokes) Sister-in-law, the chickpeas in your hand mark their attendance every week, but the green vegetables seem to have forgotten the address of our house. Narration: When Aarti makes a face after hearing about Vikas, the rest of the people start laughing...everyone starts eating peacefully. Then the elder son Ajit speaks in a hurry while looking at his watch. Ajit (28 in tension): Dad, mother, I will be a little late in coming from office today evening. I have a very important meeting. Mohan (55Normal): Okay son,..Hey Vikas son, don't you take leave from office today and go to your village? We have to take care of the fields that we have given on share in the village. Now the monsoon rains are going to come in a few days, so the season etc. has to be seen, the crop has to be calculated. You go and inspect once. Vikas (25 excitedly): Yes-yes dad, I rememberI have spoken to the office and have also taken leave. I am just going to the village after having food. Narration:.. Everyone eats food, then Vikas packs his bag and starts his bike and leaves for the village. Leaving behind the paved roads of the city, he comes to the unpaved but beautiful paths of the village. There is greenery all around in the fields. Some village women are smiling seeing him in urban clothes. Vikas stops the bike and reaches near the fields where the sharecropper farmer is working. Harilal (50 happy): Hey Chhote Babuji! It is great that you have come.. Look, all the crops of the fields that you had given as share-cropping are almost ready. Vikas (25Khush): Wow uncle! This looks amazing. Different types of green vegetables are growing here. Just seeing it made me happy. Harilal (50normal): Yes Babuji. These are completely fresh and local vegetables, without any adulteration. Radhika (23 normal): Mother, I am thinking of mixing green vegetables and making a dish with them. Veg pulao is also very good and I make fresh green vegetables with it. Kheer will become sweet.
