What Is the Difference Between HEBREW, ISRAELITE, and JEW? (Most Christians Get This Wrong)

Are Hebrew, Israelite, and Jew just three words for the same people — or does the Bible use each one on purpose? In this video we trace the story from Abraham the Hebrew, to Jacob becoming Israel, to the tribe of Judah surviving exile and giving the world the name "Jew." You'll see why Abraham and Isaac are never called Israelites, why Moses and Joshua are Israelites but never Jews, and why David, Joseph, and Jesus rightly carry all three titles. We'll walk through Genesis 14, Genesis 32, the divided kingdom, the Assyrian and Babylonian exiles, and how Paul brings all three identities together in the New Testament — and what that means for every believer today, Jew or not.
