Wrongfully Sentenced For 28 Years

Twenty-five years ago, 80-year-old retired teacher Ginny received a letter from Lamar Johnson, a prisoner serving a life sentence for mur*er. He had written to a church near St. Louis hoping that someone would simply write back. Ginny decided to answer him, and what started with a single letter turned into a friendship that lasted more than two decades. Ginny always believed Lamar was innocent, and after 28 years in prison, the real killer confessed. Lamar was exonerated, and one of the first things he did was visit Ginny.
