AMD CPUs are some of the most popular processors for gaming PCs in 2026, but with so many Ryzen processors across AM4 and AM5, it can be hard to know which one is actually worth buying. In this video, I ranked AMD CPUs from the cheapest budget processors to the most powerful high end Ryzen CPUs, including Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9 processors. We are looking at gaming performance, CPU performance, price, value, upgrade potential, AM4 vs AM5, DDR4 vs DDR5, and how these processors make sense during the current RAM shortage. This AMD CPU ranking is made for anyone looking for the best AMD processor for gaming, the best Ryzen CPU in 2026, the best budget CPU, the best AM4 CPU, the best AM5 CPU, or the best CPU for a gaming PC. Whether you are building a cheap 1080p gaming PC, upgrading an older system, building a new AM5 gaming PC, looking for the best CPU for 1440p gaming, or trying to build a powerful high end PC, this ranking covers the most important things you need to know before buying an AMD Ryzen processor.
