Description

Chess in HYPERBOLIC SPACE? // Chess Memes #31 A standard chessboard has 64 square-shaped cells arranged in an 8x8 grid on the Euclidean plane. But what if chess was played on the hyperbolic plane? In this chess variation, the board is made of 384 pentagons on a hyperbolic pentagonal grid of diameter 8. The pawns get more mobility, and the sniper bishops become even more feared. The variant also has a new piece: The Jumper (Alibaba), which jumps two squares orthogonally or diagonally. Will the pieces be able to comprehend this new mind-bending variant of chess, or will the geometry get the best of them in Hyperbolic Chess, Jellotl's Version? EASTER EGG HUNT: There are five uno-reverse cards hidden in this video. Can you find them all without looking in the comments?
