Description

On 15 May 2026, four men in black suits and sunglasses walked into the Kwaggafontein Magistrates Court in Mpumalanga. The state alleges they spent four years running a protection racket and extortion scheme against mining businessman Dr. Tengane Ntuli, whose company supplied aggregate stone to the R3.7 billion Moloto Road (R573) upgrade, a SANRAL project. In this South African true crime documentary, we look at the alleged taxi overlords at the centre of the case, including Joe "Ferrari" Sibanyoni and Oupa "Bafana" Sindane. We cover what the state says they demanded, how R2.29 million allegedly moved through a transport company, and what testimony at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has revealed about the alleged "Kwagga 20" syndicate, the construction mafia, and the wider taxi industry violence in Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Limpopo. Everything in this video is based on allegations, court documents, police intelligence, and testimony before the Madlanga Commission. The accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. If you have information about this case, or you've seen something like it, share it in the comments.
