Description
Every drop of water on the International Space Station has to be launched on a rocket, so almost nothing is wasted. Sweat and breath are pulled out of the cabin air, urine is distilled under vacuum, and a newer machine even squeezes water out of the leftover brine. In 2023 NASA announced the station recovers about 98% of its water.
