Put Your Suitcase in the Bathtub First and Watch What Happens (Bed Bug Rule)

Putting your suitcase in the bathtub when you first enter a hotel room is a real, smart travel habit. The smooth, hard sides of a tub are one place bed bugs cannot easily climb or hide, so keeping your luggage there while you inspect the room protects your bag from picking up hitchhikers before you know whether the room is clear. This video covers the bathtub luggage trick, why it works against bed bugs, and how to check a hotel room properly — where bed bugs hide, what signs to look for, and how to keep them from coming home with you.
