In today's video, we follow elderly grandparents through a challenging yet beautiful day in the countryside as they harvest mature buckwheat from their mountain farm. Buckwheat farming is an important part of village life, but it is not easy. Before harvest, a large portion of the crop was damaged by wild animals such as deer and monkeys, leaving the family disappointed after months of hard work. This buckwheat crop took nearly 5–6 months to grow, and now it is finally harvest season in the hills of Eastern Nepal. After finishing the harvest, the grandparents return home to continue their daily responsibilities. They feed fresh grass to their buffalo, care for their chickens, and prepare for the evening meal. Using traditional village cooking methods, they cook a delicious fresh local chicken curry with rice, made from simple ingredients and authentic rural recipes passed down through generations. As night falls in the village, we share the peaceful atmosphere of countryside living, traditional farming culture, organic food, and the everyday struggles and happiness of mountain life in Nepal.
