Costco's SECRET Price Codes (You're Missing #1)

📘 Costco has savings most members never find, and it's not just groceries. Get The Unofficial Costco Savings Playbook 👉 playbook.the65report.com Costco's SECRET Price Codes (You're Missing #1) There's a code hiding on every price tag at Costco — a couple of digits, a tiny star, sometimes just the color of the tag — and most shoppers walk right past it. In this video, we break down every Costco price tag code that actually matters: what .99, .97, .00, .88, .49, and .79 endings mean, what the asterisk really tells you, and the one combination that's the single strongest buy signal in the entire warehouse. Then we cover the 30-day price adjustment policy almost nobody uses — money you may already be owed and don't know it. 🔍 How we researched this Every code and policy detail in this video was cross-checked across multiple independent sources covering Costco shopping guides, clearance pricing, and the company's official price adjustment policy. Where sources genuinely disagreed — like whether the .97 markdown is set locally or at the corporate level, and whether clearance items qualify for a price adjustment — we said so on screen instead of picking a side. Costco doesn't publish an official rulebook for any of this, so we're reporting the patterns experienced members, former employees, and independent guides consistently describe, not an official company statement. ⏱️ Timestamps 0:00 – The code hiding on every price tag 0:51 – #6: The one digit that decides everything (.99 vs .97, and the .98 trap) 2:03 – #5: The last chance before it's gone for good (.00 / .88) 2:52 – #4: The date almost nobody looks at 4:58 – #3: The tag that has nothing to do with numbers (yellow tags) 5:56 – #2: The codes that have nothing to do with Costco (.49 / .79) 6:38 – #1: The asterisk + .97 combo — the strongest signal in the store 7:47 – Why Costco never shows you a "was, now" price 8:27 – The 30-day price adjustment policy (and how to actually use it) 10:11 – What to do with all of this Sources Understanding Costco's Price Tags and Saving Money — Maui Family Magazine: mauifamilymagazine.com/understanding-costcos-price-tags-and-saving-money Costco Price Tags Decoded: .97, .00, and the Asterisk — costcoguides.com/costco-price-tags Costco Price Tag Codes Decoded 2026 — fractionalbrandmanagers.com/post/costco-price-tag-codes-decoded-2026-97-88-00-asterisk-meaning Costco Sale Cycle & Price Tag Secrets — getmepromo.com/blog/costco-sale-cycle-secrets Costco Price Tag Codes Decoded: The Complete Guide — mojosalesandbranding.com/post/costco-price-tag-codes-decoded-97-88-asterisk-complete-guide Costco Price Codes: What a 7-Year Employee Told Us — thrifle.com/blog/costco-price-codes Can You Get a Price Match at Costco? — tastingtable.com/1803125/does-costco-price-match Costco Price Adjustment Policy Explained — daily.slickdeals.net/tech/costco-price-adjustment-policy The Costco Items You Should Always Be Price Checking — thetakeout.com/1726796/why-price-check-costco-items Disclaimer This video is for informational purposes only and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Costco Wholesale Corporation.
