Description

0:00 Fifteen common but illegal practices on Canadian farms that can lead to fines or legal trouble. 2:17 slow-moving vehicle sign 3:36 farm tractors 4:35 wide implement 5:52 farm tractor 7:09 dyed farm diesel 8:52 farm plates 9:53 bovine 11:24 cull cow 12:47 swine 13:55 pesticide 15:25 farm-gate fridge 17:11 migratory birds 18:06 burn pile 19:29 slough 20:38 emission controls I break down fifteen ordinary things on Canadian farms that can lead to fines or legal trouble in 2026. From a slow-moving vehicle sign on a mailbox to dyed diesel, farm plates, livestock transport, and drainage, I explain what the rules actually say and who enforces them. I also cover untagged calves, unfit animals, kitchen scraps fed to pigs and poultry, unregistered pesticides, raw milk and farm-gate sales, migratory bird nests, burn piles, and diesel emission deletes. The rules differ sharply between provinces, so I point out where Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and other jurisdictions take different approaches. I’m Glen Kowalchuk, and this video is based on federal and provincial laws, government guidance, enforcement notices, and news reports available at the time of recording. Rules change, so check the current requirements where you farm before making a decision.
