Description
By six o'clock, the hard part is never the cooking. It is the deciding — what to take out, whether it thawed, how long it needs. Tonight none of that matters. One rotisserie chicken from the shop, one small pan, three things in every dinner. Barbecue Chicken with Corn, Chicken Parmesan Skillet, Chicken and Noodles, Chicken and Dumplings from canned biscuits — ten hot dinners out of one bird.
⏱️ DINNERS IN THIS VIDEO:

🍽️ FULL RECIPES (1-2 servings)
1. BARBECUE CHICKEN WITH CORN
2 cups pulled rotisserie chicken • ⅓ cup barbecue sauce • 1 cup canned corn, DRAINED. Corn into a dry medium pan, 2 min untouched. Chicken in, spread flat, sauce over, stir ONCE. Bubble 3 min WITHOUT stirring again. Pepper, no salt.
👉 Secret: the sauce has to touch hot metal to go sticky — that is why you stop stirring.
2. CHICKEN AND CABBAGE FRY
2 cups pulled chicken • ½ small cabbage in THICK ribbons • 1 tbsp butter. Melt butter, all the cabbage in at once, cover 5 min and it collapses to half. Push it aside, chicken into the space, stir 3 min until the edges go golden. Salt and pepper AT THE END.
👉 Secret: salt early pulls the water out and the cabbage steams instead of browning. No cabbage, use a bag of coleslaw mix.
3. CHICKEN PARMESAN SKILLET
2 cups pulled chicken • 1 cup jarred marinara • ½ cup shredded mozzarella. Chicken flat in the COLD pan, marinara over it, heat to a simmer, 3 min. Cheese on top, lid on, 4 min WITHOUT LIFTING IT.
👉 Secret: the steam under the lid melts the cheese from above and below at once.
4. CHICKEN HASH
2 cups pulled chicken • 2 cups FROZEN shredded hash browns • ½ onion, sliced thin. Oil until it shines, potato in FROZEN, press flat, 6 min and DO NOT TOUCH IT. Onion, then chicken, press again, 3 min. Break into four, turn once. Salt, pepper, paprika.
👉 Secret: thawed potato lets its water go the moment it hits the pan, and water is the enemy of a crust. It goes in FROZEN.
5. CHICKEN AND NOODLES
2 cups pulled chicken • 2 oz wide egg noodles • 1½ cups chicken broth. Broth to a boil, dry noodles in, push them under. 8 min at a simmer, stir once. Chicken through, 2 min more.
👉 Secret: the starch that normally goes down the sink stays in the pan and thickens the broth by itself.
6. BUFFALO CHICKEN WITH CHEESE
2 cups pulled chicken • 2 tbsp hot sauce • ½ cup shredded cheddar. Warm the chicken 2 min. Hot sauce ONE SPOON AT A TIME, tasting between. Spread flat, cheddar over, lid on 3 min. Off the flame while the cheese is still soft.
👉 Secret: wing sauce is mostly vinegar — two spoons in a whole pan is warmth, not fire.
7. CREAMED CHICKEN OVER RICE
2 cups pulled chicken • 1 can cream of chicken soup • 1 cup INSTANT rice. Soup plus ONE CANFUL of water, stir smooth. At a simmer, stir in the rice and TAKE THE PAN OFF THE HEAT. Lid on 5 min. Fold the chicken through, 2 min on a low flame.
👉 Secret: instant rice needs steam, not a flame. Cream of mushroom or celery works one for one.
8. CHICKEN AND MACARONI WITH TOMATOES
2 cups pulled chicken • ¾ cup elbow macaroni • 1 can diced tomatoes, JUICE AND ALL. Whole can plus half a canful of water, bring to a simmer. Dry macaroni in, 10 min at a low bubble, stirring twice. Chicken through, 2 min more.
👉 Secret: the juice in the can is not waste, it is half the recipe. Pouring it away ruins this dish.
9. CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS FROM CANNED BISCUITS
2 cups pulled chicken • 1½ cups chicken broth • 4 biscuits from a refrigerated tube. Broth to a gentle simmer, chicken in. Tear EACH biscuit into four with your fingers straight into the broth. DO NOT STIR. Lid on 12 min WITHOUT LIFTING IT.
👉 Secret: the dumplings rise on trapped steam and a lifted lid drops them. FOUR biscuits, not the whole tube — eight drink every drop and come out as bread.
10. CHICKEN AND GREEN BEAN BAKE
2 cups pulled chicken • 1 can green beans, DRAINED • ½ cup crispy fried onions. Beans 2 min to warm, chicken in, stir. Press flat, 3 min so the bottom catches. OFF THE HEAT, then the fried onions over the top. Pepper, no salt.
👉 Secret: the onions go on last and off the flame — they turn bitter the moment they cook a second time.
