Using the old photos as a guide, I try to stand in the same spots and recreate the original views — revealing a fascinating before and after comparison of Wakefield. With the old photographs faded over the modern footage, you can see exactly how the streets, buildings and landmarks have changed over the years. But what happened to these places? At the end of the video, I take a closer look at the history behind the photographs, discussing what has disappeared, what has survived, and how Wakefield has changed over time.
