Jax is not brave like her sister, and she is scared of heights. But after her sister’s death, she decides to complete the adventures written in her sister’s diary. Together with her sister’s friend Luce, she travels to a faraway country and pays a local guide to take them on an illegal and forbidden trail. The path is built on rusty iron steps and broken wooden planks, hundreds of feet above the ground. Then the weather turns bad, rocks start falling, and the trail begins to collapse.
