The Pack Freezes as One Hyena Gets Stuck Holding a Monkey’s Tail

High in the rugged Simien Mountains of Ethiopia, a troop of Gelada monkeys faces danger along the steep rocky cliffs. Spotted hyenas chase the troop toward the edge, but the monkeys use the near-vertical terrain to escape. One hyena refuses to release a monkey’s tail and ends up hanging helplessly from the cliff while the rest of the pack watches from above. Later, the Geladas discover a bearded vulture nest hidden inside a rocky crevice, leading to another tense confrontation.
