Description
In 1929, Mohanlal Dayal started the Parle company, but they initially sold Orange Candy! Later, they noticed that most biscuits available in India were imported and expensive.
During the Swadeshi movement, Parle launched its own Indian biscuit — Parle Gluco
The biscuit became hugely popular, but after many duplicate products appeared, its name was changed to Parle-G in 1982.
And that’s how one of India’s most iconic biscuits was born!
