Description

Steve Allen revealed the 8 worst racist guests in old Hollywood history. He invented late-night television in 1954, put Billie Holiday, Count Basie and Lena Horne on national TV, and got hate mail for it. Some of the stars who smiled beside him were hiding something far uglier. One of them later became President of the United States and was caught on a secret White House tape calling African diplomats “monkeys.” Another was the most trusted preacher in America, until a hidden microphone in the Oval Office recorded what he really said about Jewish people. Every person on this list appeared on TV with Steve Allen. Every story comes from tapes, letters, biographies, public apologies and contemporary reporting. Disputed accounts are presented as disputed. 👉 Watch next: Johnny Carson Revealed the 9 Worst Racist Guests in Old Hollywood Golden Age History - https://youtu.be/uUOrSajmGN8?si=GipOICos774iZrTa Which of these eight shocked you the most?
