With only 29 minutes remaining, firefighters raced to evacuate the building, but some made the decision to stay behind for those who couldn’t escape alone. While some moments in this video may be tough to watch for those personally touched by that day, we felt it was important not to soften the reality of what they lived through. Rest in peace to all 2,977 people who died on 9/11. We will never forget.
