Description

The Strait of Hormuz has become a live demonstration of two very different approaches to modern warfare. On one side: U.S. precision weapons, stealth aircraft, Tomahawk cruise missiles, bunker busters, Patriot and THAAD defenses, naval warships, and even the A-10 Warthog. On the other: Iranian anti-ship missiles, one-way attack drones, ballistic missiles, fast attack boats, and naval mines designed to make one of the world's most important waterways increasingly dangerous to operate in. In this video, we break down the weapons and military technology being used around the Strait of Hormuz — how they work, what they were designed to do, and why each side is relying on such different systems. This is not a political breakdown and we're not taking sides. We're looking strictly at the hardware, tactics, technology, and economics behind the weapons. Which weapon system or piece of technology surprised you the most? Let me know in the comments. 👍 Like the video if you enjoy military and self-defense breakdowns. 🔔 Subscribe to Practical Pew for more firearms, weapons technology, and practical defense content.
