Scientists Finally Identified What’s HUNTING Florida’s Giant Pythons — Nature’s Hidden Predator

Florida’s giant Burmese pythons have become a major concern in the Everglades, where these invasive snakes prey on native wildlife and disrupt the ecosystem. But while the pythons have few natural enemies as adults, researchers continue to study the animals and environmental forces that may limit their spread. Could a lesser-known predator or unexpected competitor be playing a role? In this video, we explore the predators that may threaten young pythons, the wildlife capable of challenging these enormous snakes, and the scientific research investigating their place in Florida’s ecosystem. From alligators to other native predators, discover what is known about the pythons’ natural enemies—and what remains uncertain.
