Description

The Tuskegee Experiment, officially known as the Tuskegee Syphilis Study, was a U.S. government research project that lasted from 1932 to 1972. Hundreds of African American men were misled and denied proper treatment for syphilis so scientists could observe the disease’s effects. Even after a cure was discovered, treatment was intentionally withheld. This experiment is now recognized as one of the most unethical medical studies in history and is a key reason why strict rules exist for human research today. In this video, we explore what happened, why it was allowed, and how it changed medical ethics forever. #TuskegeeExperiment #MedicalHistory #BlackHistory #HumanExperiment #EthicsInMedicine #SyphilisStudy #TrueHistory #AmericanHistory #ScienceHistory #RacismInMedicine
