Welcome to the peaceful mountain village of Sotang Rural Municipality, Solukhumbu, Eastern Nepal, where an elderly couple shares their authentic village lifestyle, traditional cooking, and organic farming. This is the true story of a loving couple who got married at just 17 and 16 years old. After decades of hard work and sacrifice, they are now nearly 70 years old and continue to live a simple off-grid life in the Himalayan hills. Life has not been easy. They had 11 children, but sadly lost 3 children at a young age because there were no nearby hospitals or proper healthcare in those days. Today, their children have moved to the city in search of better education and opportunities, while the grandparents continue caring for their home, farm, and animals. In today's episode: Grandma plants beautiful flowers in the garden, feeds the buffalo calves, milks the buffalo, and cares for the livestock. Grandpa prepares a delicious organic free-range rooster curry, stir-fried potatoes and beans, and cooks traditional millet flour Dhido over a wood-fired stove. They continue their daily farming despite the challenges of mountain life, where crops are often damaged by wild animals.
