Barnacle Goose Chicks Jump Off Cliff to Survive | Arctic Geese Life Cycle

Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis) chicks begin life on high Arctic cliffs, far above the valley floor. Before they are able to fly, they must leave the nest and survive a dangerous descent across steep rock faces. This documentary follows one young gosling as it tumbles down the cliff, faces predators and harsh weather, and struggles to reach safer ground below. After surviving the fall, the chick must reunite with its parents, find food and water, and begin its first steps toward independence. A remarkable early-life survival journey in one of the harshest landscapes in the Arctic.
