She Sang "I Can Only Imagine" for Her Dad in Heaven… Watch the Judges React | AGT 2026

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE She kept one letter in her pocket for 20 years… A letter she never had the courage to give her father. Tonight on Talent Arena, Mary Grace steps onto the stage carrying the words she never said, the pain she never healed, and the memory of a father who changed before it was too late. Her father, Thomas Grace, was a hard man. A quiet man. A man who never knew how to say “I love you.” For years, Mary stayed away. But when she finally came home, she found something she never expected… A worn Bible on the table. Promises underlined. A father with a changed heart. And grace waiting where anger used to live. In their final season together, Mary gave him the letter she had carried for two decades. He read every word. He cried. He asked for forgiveness. And for the first time, Mary saw the father she had always prayed for. After he passed away, she wrote this song imagining him whole, free, healed, and finally home in Heaven. Tonight, she sings it for the first time. Inspired by the powerful message and emotional legacy of “I Can Only Imagine,” this original Talent Arena performance is a story of forgiveness, faith, reconciliation, and the hope of Heaven. This is not just a song. It is a daughter saying goodbye. It is a father finally home. It is grace having the final word.
