Description

Hello everyone, I’m Annie Tips — welcome back to my kitchen. Have you ever peeled a boiled egg and watched pieces of the egg white come off together with the shell? Sometimes the egg cracks while cooking. Other times the shell sticks so tightly that the finished egg loses its shape before you even get to eat it. In this video, I’ll go through the common mistakes that can cause these problems and show you how I handle each step differently. We’ll look at when to add the eggs to the water, how to lower them in without cracking the shells, how cooking time changes the yolk, and why cooling the eggs right after cooking makes such a noticeable difference when peeling. I’ll also compare eggs cooked for different lengths of time so you can choose the texture you actually want instead of guessing. These are simple adjustments, but together they can make boiled eggs much easier to prepare and much nicer to serve. 👉 If English isn’t your first language, feel free to turn on subtitles (CC) for a better experience. 00:00 Why Boiled Eggs Are Hard to Peel 00:40 Start With Boiling Water 01:30 Lower Eggs Without Cracking Them 02:35 Keep the Water at a Gentle Boil 03:35 6, 9 & 12-Minute Egg Test 04:55 Cool Eggs Immediately in Ice Water 05:45 The Easy Peeling Method 06:45 6 vs 9 vs 12-Minute Results What is the biggest problem you usually have with boiled eggs — cracking, difficult peeling, or getting the yolk just right?
