WATCH THE FULL JUDGMENT | Former SAPS Deputy National Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya has been denied bail following a detailed ruling examining the State's evidence, alleged threats against witnesses, cellphone evidence and serious criminal charges. The magistrate raised concerns about possible witness interference, questioned aspects of the defence's version and explained why bail conditions would not adequately address the identified risks. Sibiya remains in custody after the court found that he failed to establish exceptional circumstances justifying his release. The matter was postponed to 24 November 2026 for further investigations.
