Description
I turned a piece of old live-edge wood into a handmade underwater ocean lamp with epoxy resin — a tiny deep-sea world with a whale and a scuba diver frozen in glowing turquoise water.
In this resin art process video, I show the full build: preparing reclaimed wood, shaping the canyon walls, placing the miniature whale and diver, mixing and pouring deep-pour epoxy resin, removing bubbles, sanding, polishing, and adding LED lighting so the ocean scene comes alive at night.
This wood and epoxy resin lamp is part night light, part underwater diorama. The natural wood grain becomes cliffs and the seafloor, while clear blue-green resin creates the feeling of swimming through open water. If you love resin lamps, ocean decor, woodworking, or handmade gifts, this one is for you.
What you’ll see in this video:
• Choosing and preparing old / reclaimed wood
• Building the mold for an epoxy ocean scene
• Setting the whale, diver, and coral details
• Pouring epoxy resin for a deep underwater look
• Sanding, polishing, and finishing the wood
• Installing lights for a glowing night lamp
This handmade epoxy resin lamp works as a unique table lamp, night light, or ocean-themed art piece. No two slabs of wood are the same, so every wood and resin lamp like this is one of a kind.
If you enjoy epoxy resin art, wood and resin projects, ocean lamps, and satisfying craft process videos, drop a comment and tell me what sea creature I should put in the next lamp.
Thanks for watching.
