Description

The people we walk with influence who we become. And as Christian women, I believe it is so important to be intentional about the friendships and influences we allow into our lives. In today's video, we're talking about godly friendships and the biblical importance of surrounding ourselves with wise, committed Christians who will encourage us, pray for us, tell us the truth, and ultimately point us back to Jesus. As I've been studying Paul and learning more through a recent study of 2 Timothy, I've been reminded that we were never meant to do life alone. We see this modeled throughout Scripture. Jesus loved and ministered to many people, but He also had a smaller circle of close friends. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He took Peter, James, and John with Him into one of the most difficult moments of His earthly life. Paul also lived and ministered in close relationship with other believers. Not everyone needs the same level of access to your life. You can love everyone without being intimate with everyone. You can be kind to everyone without allowing everyone to influence you. And you can serve people without giving them access to the deepest parts of your heart. Proverbs 13:20 reminds us: “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” And Proverbs 27:17 tells us: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” My prayer is that this video encourages you to seek out godly women who will walk alongside you, pray for you, encourage you, hold you accountable, and point you toward Christ. And if you don't have those women in your life right now, don't lose heart. Pray about it. Join a group. Introduce yourself. Invite someone for coffee. Go for a walk. Start the Bible study. Sometimes, we have to be willing to take the first step. And just as importantly, let's become the kind of godly friend we're praying to find. Find your women. Walk with the wise. Sharpen one another. Carry one another. And keep pointing each other back to Jesus. In a **very large bowl**, combine the warm water, rapid-rise yeast, and salt. 2. Add the sugar, oil, and bread flour. 3. Mix just until everything is combined. **Do not overmix**, or your rolls may become tough. 4. Cover the dough and allow it to rise for approximately **2–4 hours**, or until doubled in size. 5. Generously flour your countertop. Dump the dough onto the floured surface. 6. Knead the dough for approximately **8–10 minutes**, adding small sprinkles of flour as needed to prevent the dough from becoming too sticky. 7. Allow the dough to rest for approximately **15 minutes**. 8. Add approximately **2–3 tablespoons of oil to each pan** and spread it around the bottom of the pan. 9. Begin forming your rolls by grabbing and pinching off pieces of dough. Gather the bottom of the dough together to create a smooth ball. 10. Dip the top of the dough ball into the oil, then flip it over and place it in the pan. 11. For a 9x13 pan, I usually make a **3x4 row of rolls**, or a **3x5 row** if I make them a little smaller. 12. Cover the pans with wax paper and allow the rolls to rise again until doubled in size, approximately **2–3 hours**. 13. Preheat your oven to **350°F**. 14. Bake for approximately **20–23 minutes**, or until the tops are a nice golden brown. **Don't pull them out too early!** You want the tops to have that nice brown color so the inside is fully baked and not gooey. 15. Remove from the oven, spread butter generously over the tops, and serve warm. Enjoy! ❤️ --- ## 📖 Scriptures Mentioned in This Video Proverbs 13:20 Proverbs 27:17 Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 Mark 2:1–12 Mark 14:32–34 1 Corinthians 15:33 1 Peter 5:8 John 10:10 2 Timothy 4 #ChristianFriendship #GodlyWomen #ChristianWomen #FaithAndFriendship #BiblicalFriendship #ChristianLiving #WomenOfFaith #WalkWithTheWise
