A new ACT study uses the kinematic Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect, or kSZ, to test gravity across enormous cosmic distances. The result finds a gravitational force-law index close to the familiar inverse-square law, placing strong pressure on simple MOND-like and 1/r modified-gravity models. But the result does not rule out every MOND-inspired theory, nor does it directly prove that dark matter is made of particles.
