Description

In this BCW video, we're taking a look at an incident that happened in Orlando on April 9, 2025 when police had been called about an aggressive dog at a Walmart. Call notes indicate a 911 call came in at 2118 hours about a pit bull biting multiple people. When the first officer arrived on scene, he found a woman outside the store's entrance with the dog on a leash that was tied around her waist. When he asked the woman to stand in one spot away from foot traffic, she grew agitated and would not stop walking around the area. This BCW recap offers an educational review of police de-escalation tactics and how police respond to an aggressive animal. Note on Value-Add Editing: For this BCW recap, we reviewed extended case footage and exercised editorial judgment to select, condense, and sequence the key moments of this investigation. Footage in this video has been obtained directly from the relevant law enforcement agency. Body Cam Watch produces original, editorially transformative work by independently reviewing and transforming long-form body-worn camera footage into condensed, context-driven, structured presentations for the purposes of news reporting and public education. The content shown is not intended to shame, harass, or glorify violence. Body Cam Watch is not affiliated with any law enforcement agency. This video differs in length, structure, pacing, and presentation from the original source material and is not intended to function as a substitute for the raw case footage. All individuals are presumed innocent unless determined otherwise by a court of law. 0:00 An Aggressive Pitbull at Walmart 0:50 Who Got Bit? 2:02 Victim Wants to File a Report 3:37 Officers Try to Contain the Situation 5:47 Animal Services Arrive and Officers Move In 8:33 Arrest Charges and Court Outcome
