The Dining Room Mistakes That Make Your Home Look Old After 60 (Easy Free Fixes) There's a room in your home that's frozen in time. Same tablecloth, same chairs, same plates in the same cabinet. Your dining room. For thirty-one years I designed homes, and the dining room always told me exactly how long it had been since a home was really looked at. In this video, I'll walk you through 7 dining room mistakes that make your home look old after 60, from the plastic over the lace tablecloth to the china cabinet packed to the glass, and the most common mistake of all, which has nothing to do with furniture. Most of these fixes cost nothing, and not one costs more than fifty dollars. Count how many you find in your own dining room, then tell me your number in the comments, along with the city you're watching from. If you've been counting every room with me, tell me which one scored the highest. I read every single one with my morning coffee. Next week, I'm walking into another room of your home.
