According to AsiaOne, a Chery Omoda 5 was traveling normally at about 53 mph (85 km/h) when an unusual noise suddenly came from the rear. It had neither collided with another vehicle nor run over an obstacle. The entire rear axle beam then separated from the body, along with the trailing arms, shock absorbers, brake lines, and both rear wheels. The whole assembly fell onto the road.
