Description

Red Horn was a culture hero with magical powers, remembered by the Ho-Chunk and their neighbors. Bullied as a child, he grew up to defeat his older brothers, outrunning them by turning into an arrow. When he pulled out a long braid of hair and it turned red, he became the hero we know as Red Horn. His story is closely tied to figures found in ancient Mississippian art. #RedHorn #HoChunk #NativeAmericanMythology #Mississippian #Archaeology #EdBarnhart
