Description

Waste of money products: 8 things you are overpaying for, proven by the label. Stainless steel cleaner is $4.72 for mineral oil you can buy for $2.58 — and the safety data sheet says so. I watched 32 videos about wasting money before making this one. 415 things they told you to stop buying. A label was read on camera three times. Nobody showed a document. Nobody calculated what you pay per ounce of the thing that does the work. One of them said a car loses 20% driving off the lot, the next said 60, and not one named a source. So here are 8 pairs, and every one is proven by a safety data sheet, a certification number, or a filing with a federal agency. Sorted by how big the gap is, smallest first — so the last one is the worst. Two of them failed the fact check, and they are at the end with what I found. ⏱ CHAPTERS 0:00 Is stainless steel cleaner just mineral oil 0:25 Why waste of money lists never show proof 0:49 How every pair on this list was checked 1:19 Are expensive HDMI cables worth it 2:28 What is actually in Weiman stainless steel cleaner 3:46 Can you use citric acid instead of Keurig descaler 4:50 Is Drano just bleach and water 5:36 Are heavy duty batteries worse than alkaline 6:43 Is store brand ibuprofen the same as Advil 7:54 Are extended warranties worth it 8:42 How much do paper towels really cost per year 9:38 Does antibacterial soap actually work 9:56 Is fabric softener bad for towels 10:12 How to check a product label yourself 📄 SOURCES Weiman safety data sheet, section 3 — weiman.com Drano Max Gel ingredients — whatsinsidescjohnson.com Keurig descaling solution safety data sheet Energizer datasheets: Eveready 1215 (zinc-carbon), E91 (alkaline) FDA Orange Book, ANDA 072096 — accessdata.fda.gov Visa Signature / Infinite extended warranty terms — usa.visa.com Bureau of Labor Statistics, Consumer Expenditure Survey, table 2500 (2024) Whirlpool support: stainless steel care FDA, 2016 final rule on antibacterial soaps All prices checked at Walmart and Target, September 2026.
