Description

🔒 The 7 marks a burglar really leaves on your door, and the fix for each, plus every door, window and lock fix in one walkthrough, for less than ONE locksmith visit ($150+) 👉 https://raykessler.vercel.app/morning?src=rkmark If you ever find a little chalk mark by your front door, it's probably not from a burglar. The mark they really leave is about four inches from your lock, and almost nobody looks there. I never caught a burglar. I fixed the doors they came through, the morning after, about four thousand of them. Here's what those doors actually showed me, how to check yours tonight, and what each fix costs. THE 7 MARKS 1. The pry dent beside the strike — Check: run a finger along the frame next to the metal plate, look for a crushed edge or torn paint. Fix: $0 if small · ~$25 longer screws · ~$60 reinforcement plate. 2. A bent or loose strike plate — Check: wiggle the plate, see if the screws spin in loose holes. Fix: ~$25 three-inch screws into the stud · ~$60 heavy strike plate. 3. A split along the jamb screw line — Check: look top to bottom on the lock side for a crack with fresh pale wood. Photo it before you touch it. Fix: ~$60 reinforcement kit, more if the frame needs replacing. 4. A latch that doesn't catch the strike (10-second check) — Check: close the door slowly and watch the latch line up in the center of the strike. Fix: $0 adjust/tighten · ~$25 new latch. 5. A disturbed window latch or screen — Check: every window that opens: latch fully closed, metal not bent, screen straight in its track. Fix: $0 close it all the way · ~$25 latch or pin lock · ~$60 new lock set. 6. Testing signs: a flyer left for days, a moved planter, a gate left open — Check: walk around your house like a stranger. Fix: $0 — remove it, put things back, a light timer, a neighbor for the mail. Repeated signs? Call the non-emergency number. 7. Scuffs and footprints at the bottom of the door — Check: knees and a flashlight on the bottom edge, threshold and sweep. Fix: ~$25 new sweep · ~$60 new threshold.
